Our Policy
Joy Care Unit LLC complies with Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination Act, and other applicable federal civil rights laws. Joy Care Unit does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency and primary language), age, disability, or sex. Joy Care Unit does not exclude people or treat them differently because of these characteristics.
Free Help for People with Disabilities
Joy Care Unit provides people with disabilities reasonable modifications and free, appropriate auxiliary aids and services to communicate effectively with us, such as:
- Qualified sign language interpreters
- Written information in other formats, such as large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, and other formats
- Help using our website or completing forms by phone or in person

How to File a Grievance
If you believe that Joy Care Unit has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex, you can file a grievance with our Section 1557 Coordinator:
You can file a grievance by phone, by email, or in person. If you need help filing a grievance, our Section 1557 Coordinator is available to help you. We will not retaliate against anyone for filing a grievance or for participating in a review of one.
